Diesel price declines

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Ministry of Energy and Mining, the price of diesel has decreased by two cents, while heating oil price has increased.

The price of heating oil increased by 12 cents and will cost €1.70 per litre over the next seven days.

Following the Government's decision to reduce fuel excise duties, Eurodiesel became two cents cheaper and now costs €1.65 per litre.

The price of a litre of Eurosuper 95 increased by one cent to €1.65, while the price of Eurosuper 98 remained unchanged at €1.68.

“Based on the Decision on the level of excise duties on the sale of unleaded petrol and gas oils, adopted at Monday evening’s online Cabinet meeting and to be published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro, retail prices of petroleum products have been adjusted,” the Ministry said in a press release.

The aim of the measure is to reduce the fiscal burden in order to provide more affordable fuel supplies for citizens and businesses while maintaining market stability for petroleum products.

In accordance with the Regulation on the method of calculating maximum retail prices for certain petroleum products, which entered into force on 24 March, the next price review will be carried out on 27 July. Any changes to fuel prices will take effect on 28 July.
