Monstat: GDP growth reaches 2.6 percent in first quarter

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegro’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.6 percent in the first quarter of this year, according to preliminary data released by Monstat.
According to the preliminary results, GDP amounted to €1.65 billion in the first quarter, up from €1.56 billion in the same period last year.
Monstat published the results of the preliminary calculation of Montenegro’s quarterly GDP for the first quarter, at current and constant prices, using the production and expenditure approach, in line with the ESA 2010 methodology.
