Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Ambassador of the United States of America to Podgorica Judy Rising Reinke has said that American companies are very interested in future projects in Montenegro, adding that their knowhow and technologies can give a great contribution to the development of the national road infrastructure.
At a meeting with Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurkovic, she said that the American companies interested in future Montenegrin projects should be given an opportunity to participate in their implementation.
Nurkovic presented the ongoing projects, focusing on details of the Bar-Boljare motorway, the deadline for the finalization of its construction and development of the first motorway section between Smokovac and Matesevo.
The Adriatic-Ionian Motorway and a route along the Montenegrin coast that will connect Montenegro with Croatia and other EU countries, as well as with Albania and Greece, was also discussed at the meeting.
Rising Reinke said that she was also interested in the project of awarding concessions for the Podgorica and Tivat Airports.
Nurkovic said that the two airports had great potentials that were currently insufficiently used.
He said that the companies from India, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, France and Germany were very interested in the airports.
