Concession document on the agenda in the next ten days

Budva, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Prime Minister Dusko Markovic has said that the concession document for the airports of Podgorica and Tivat should be completely finished and put on the agenda of a Cabinet meeting in the next ten days.

He said that the Government had received a study of the market value of the two airports, prepared by the Faculty of Economics, which was the last document it needed to launch this process.

“I believe that the concession document will be on the Government’s agenda in the next ten days,” Markovic said, expressing his expectation that the Cabinet would adopt this document and launch the concession procedure.

Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurkovic had previously announced that adoption of a concession document for the airports of Podgorica and Tivat was expected after the holidays.

He said that a quality document had been prepared, aimed primarily at ensuring the protection of national interests.

“I hope that we will have a draft concession document and call for prequalification on the agenda of the first or second meeting after the holidays,” Nurkovic said.

He said that many companies were interested in the concession contract, including the ones from India, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, France, Germany and other countries.
