Police solve Kruscic’s killing and attack on Olivera Lakic

Podgorica, (MINA) – A criminal group, led by mastermind F.B from Podgorica, is suspected of murdering Miodrag Kruscic and wounding Vijesti journalist Olivera Lakic.

In a press conference held Tuesday, the Police Administration said that Podgorica resident Mario Milosevic, a member of this criminal organization, is a suspect for Kruscic’s murder, adding that he was arrested in Kosovo last July.

Assistant chief of police Enis Bakovic said that they were checking if this criminal organization was responsible for other crimes committed in Montenegro and the region.

He stressed that nine members have been arrested by now, who are suspected of wounding Lakic and Kruscic’s murder.

Bakovic explained that on the 8 May last year the members of this criminal organization followed Lakic, and shot her in the leg outside her apartment building.

“On the 21 May the same year, around 6:30 PM, based on a detailed plan with carefully assigned roles, they killed Kruscic in a café Palata in Stari Aerodrom neighborhood, in treacherous manner, who had been in the company of Vijesti journalist Jelena Jovanovic at that moment”, Bakovic said.

According to him, owing to good international police cooperation, the suspect for Kruscic’s killing was arrested in Kosovo and is currently kept in custody.

Asked about the motives for Lakic’s attack, Bakovic said that “based on the gathered evidence it is unquestionable that those two events are connected”.

Vesna Jovicevic from the Podgorica based Higher State Prosecutor’s Office, said that they have been working intensively for months with the police administration.

“The result is filing criminal charges against nine persons today. Most of them are available to the competent authorities, since proceedings against them for other crimes are ongoing, while two persons remain unavailable for now”, said she.Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
