EPCG posts €92 million loss in 2025

Niksic, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Elektroprivreda (EPCG) posted a net loss of €92.12 million in 2025, according to the company’s financial statements approved at the shareholders’ meeting on Friday.
According to the financial statements, EPCG generated total revenue of €412.2 million, while total expenses amounted to €506.44 million.
“Of the total revenue, €405.6 million came from operating activities and €6.6 million from financial income. Of total expenses, €466.14 million are related to operating costs, €28.53 million to wages, while impairment losses on fixed assets amounted to €1.47 million,” the company said in a press release.
Other operating expenses totalled €3.59 million, financial expenses €3.66 million, impairment losses on current financial assets and investments classified as current assets €3.05 million, while the net effect of current and deferred taxes amounted to €2.12 million.
Shareholders also approved the consolidated financial statements, which show that the EPCG Group recorded a net loss of €100.25 million in 2025. The loss was attributed to the eight-month shutdown of the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant for environmental reconstruction, as well as unfavourable hydrological conditions.
According to the company’s annual business report, also approved by shareholders, EPCG generated a total of 1.8 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity in 2025, equal to 61.2 percent of 2024 production and 77.5 percent of the planned output.
