MoU signed between the Ministry of Tourism and the Faculty of Architecture

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and the Faculty of Architecture have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening ties and fostering joint action through different forms of cooperation of mutual interest.

According to the Ministry, the memorandum provides a foundation for intensifying cooperation in areas that connect tourism, architecture, and spatial development.

It includes the organization of joint activities, workshops, professional conferences, and other projects that can contribute to the advancement of both fields.

Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic stated that tourism and urban planning, particularly architecture, interact frequently at all levels.

“Architecture is an important field for tourism. Some countries have built their image and tourism recognition precisely on their architectural heritage. I am pleased that we have formalized this cooperation. Our doors are open to you, because this Ministry fully recognizes the complexity of the sector it oversees,” Kordic said.

Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Svetlana Perovic noted that both tourism and architecture deal with space, but from different perspectives.

“Architecture engages with space in order to shape and improve it, while tourism brings that space closer to people. For that reason, there is significant potential for joint action and the development of new initiatives,” Perovic said.
