Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic held a series of bilateral meetings during which she presented Montenegro’s tourism potential, ongoing development projects and opportunities to enhance international cooperation in the tourism sector.

Kordic is participating in the 126th meeting of the UN Tourism Executive Council in Toledo.

At a meeting with the UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, both sides expressed satisfaction with the substantive and well-developed contractual relations between the two countries, which currently encompass around 20 signed agreements, including those in the field of tourism. 

Kordic also met with China’s Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gao Zheng, to discuss further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

During a meeting with Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism, Widiyanti Putri, the officials discussed the importance of investing in tourism workforce education, with a particular focus on foreign language skills and preparing employees to work with tourists from different markets, each characterized by specific cultural patterns, needs and habits.
